AAA holds a contest to find the ultimate summer road trip. Contestants submit proposals for the route they would like to take and 5 lucky winners are awarded a cash prize and an Escape Campervan to complete the trip of their dreams. The winning road trippers are encouraged to post their favorite roadside spots on social media along the way.
AAA will pair their own app with Spotify to provide the ultimate musical roadtrip experience. Put in your destination and an initial song, and Spotify will create a playlist tailored to your music tastes and your route; that updates as you drive to account for any detours.
Sometimes you want to enjoy the journey just as much as the destination. As you drive, the navigation function of the AAA app gives you suggestions for scenic spots and attractions along your route, allowing you the opportunity to see things that you might otherwise pass by. In addition, based on which suggestions you accept and which you skip, the app builds a profile so that over time the suggested attractions become more and more tailored to your preferences.
